Superpunk is a German "Soulpunk-Band" from Hamburg formed in 1995 by Carsten Friedrichs (vocals, guitar), Thorsten Wegner (drums) and Lars Bulnheim (guitar). Tocotronic bassist Jan Müller (2) played the bass back then. In 1996 Thies Mynther joined the band as keyboardist. After around 14 lineup changes until 1997 Tim Jürgens replaced Jan Müller who left the band. Since then no lineup changes were made and they were called the "Top Old Boys!". The band played their last gigs (farewell shows) in the summer of 2012. Carsten Friedrichs and Tim Jürgens formed at the end of the year 2012 the band Die Liga der gewöhnlichen Gentlemen.
