Anti-fascist, anti-sexist and anti-religion hardcore/metal band from Berlin, Germany. Created in 2011 and formerly known as Angst, they changed name in October 2012. Founded as a duo, with time Ancst became the personal project of musician Tom Schmidt (10) and was expanded to a full band, mainly for live shows. The studio material is almost entirely composed and performed by Schmidt. Some releases under the Ancst monicker includes Schmidt's solo dark ambient/drone releases. The metal releases includes a great variety of influences, from the first releases' blackened crust to the metalcore, grindcore or death metal flavors of the most recent albums.
