Slayer is a heavy metal band from San Antonio, Texas, USA, that was formed in 1982. In 1984, the band changed its name to S.A. Slayer. The band split up in 1984. Not to be confused with Slayer from California, Slayer (7) from Arizona and Slayer (13) from the United Kingdom. The band's only album was recorded in 1984 but was shelved until 1988, when it was released under the name S.A. Slayer.
