Médine Zaouiche, known as Médine, is a French rapper born on February 24th, 1983 in Le Havre (76). He is of Kabyle Algerian origin. He is part of the hip hop band La Boussole since 1996. Practicing Muslim, many of his lyrics deal with the hardships faced by people with low economic level, migrants, oppressed individuals, and Muslims in the Western world. He also wrote several articles for Time Magazine in 2005. One was entitled "How Much More French Can I Be". "Médine" is French for Medina.
