American jazz drummer, composer, singer/songwriter and session musician, born July 25, 1970 in Shreveport, Louisiana. he began playing the violin. Inspired by his older brother, Brady Blade, Jr., He shifted his focus to the drums. Blade studied and played with most of the master musicians living in New Orleans. Brian has performed with the likes of Wayne Shorter, Joni Mitchell, John Patitucci, Danilo Perez, Christopher Thomas, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Marc Johnson (2), Kenny Barron, Bill Frisell, Ron Miles, Chick Corea, Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman and Christian McBride.
