The Silk Road Ensemble (also Silkroad Ensemble) is a multi-cultural contemporary jazz/folk musical collective founded by cellist Yo-Yo Ma in 2000, as part of the Silkroad arts organization. In July 2020, Rhiannon Giddens took over from Yo-Yo Ma as artistic director.
