Backing band for who created the band in the 70s to support various projects including his [m=57999] album. In late 1976, financial issues led to Wakeman disbanding the group. In the decades since, Wakeman has created (and disbanded) new iterations of the ERE at various occasions for different projects. To confuse things, there also exists another backing for Rick Wakeman known as which shares some members with ERE.
