American Singer, Songwriter, Actress, Model, and Music producer. Born February 11, 1979, in McComb, Mississippi, USA, based in California, USA. At the age of 15, Brandy burst onto the music scene with her R&B and pop crossover hit "I Wanna Be Down". She began singing in public at local youth groups and eventually to high profile gigs. Played "Danesha Turrell" on TV's Thea in 1993 and starred as "Moesha Mitchell" on the 1996 TV series Moesha. Starred in the 1997 TV production of Cinderella. Played "Karla Wilson" in the 1998 movie I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. One of the judges on the 2006 TV show America's Got Talent. Participated in the 2010 season of Dancing With The Stars on ABC. She is the daughter of Willie R. Norwood, Sr. and Sonja Norwood, and the older sister of Ray J. Her inspirations include Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder.
