Sam Jones

American jazz bassist & composer, born 12 November 1924, in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, died 15 December 1981 in New York City. Active since the mid-1950s, he joined Oscar Peterson in 1966 and also worked with Kenny Dorham, Cannonball Adderley, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk and many others.
