Symphony orchestra, formed 1918 in Potsdam, Germany as Ufa-Sinfonie-Orchester. After the German reunion the and the joined forces as Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg in 1993. Its one of the only remaining film orchestras in Western Europe and the only German professional film orchestra. They also do symphonic concerts, opera productions, jazz and pop programs, tours and lots of recordings. The have a very large repetoire of live synchronized soundtracks of silent films.
