Swedish punk band from Uppsala. The band was formed in 1970 under the name Libbet Sväller by singer , drummer and guitarist . A few weeks later, joined on bass. Initially, they played mostly and covers. At the beginning of their career, Libbet Sväller shared rehearsal rooms with the band . Since was a frequently touring band, Libbet Sväller got a chance to join them on tour. When Libbet Sväller played in Skarpnäck, Stockholm in 1972 they were so loud that a police helicopter even hovered over the stage to silence them. In 1972 Libbet Sväller changed the rehearsal room to an old laundry room where they also started to build their own studio, where the album [m464357] was recorded on a two-channel Revox. The album is almost entirely recorded live with just a few mixes. Guest musician was from . Some years before the album was released, Libbet Sväller changed their name to Rävjunk. The name came up when one of 's coworkers was drinking coffee that had been on since the previous evening shift. He mocked the taste of the coffee with the expression "rävjunk" and that became the name. In connection with the album [r2032666] being released on CD with extra tracks, Rävjunk played at , with some new members. After that, they played at the punk gala at in April 2010. Their album [r8747361] from 1977 reissued on vinyl in 500 copies by the German record label in the summer of 2016. Later that summer, original member passed away. The original members, lead singer and guitarist and vocalist , continued along with new members on guitar, Nicklas Gelotte on bass, on keyboards and , who replaced , on drums. That line-up of the band played together at a memorial concert held for at on September 8, 2016. At the end of October 2016, the album [r9393177] was reissued again, now on yellow vinyl, in a limited edition of 500 copies. A CD edition of [r11070243] was also released in 2017. The music on those editions consisted of previously released singles and EPs and a side of previously unreleased material.
