Born: January 10, 1949 (Lusaka, Zambia) Died: 1989 (Lusaka, Zambia) Lead guitarist, vocalist, composer and frontman. Ngozi's first band was The Scorpions in Livingsone with Ngozi on guitar, on drums and on bass. In 1975 enticed him into joining The "Mighty" Band to replace on lead guitar where he stayed playing and recording for a year. Back home he linked up with Chrissy and Tommy and revived their musical partnership under a new name the Three Years Before. They recruited on rhythm guitar and the band changed name to . In the early 1980's his output shifted from rock to kalindula along with many of his contemporaries. Paul Ngozi had an active solo career in addition to his work with Ngozi Family, releasing several solo albums and singles. He was active well into the late 80's until he passed away in 1989.
