Jazz pianist, composer and educator, born JoAnne Grogan July 26, 1938 in Ventura, California, USA In the late 1950s she worked in Los Angeles with Harold Land, Dexter Gordon and others. She married Charles Brackeen in the early 1960s and moved with him to New York in 1965.
