Lung Leg are a Scottish pop-punk/indie band formed in Glasgow in 1994. Emerging from the city's DIY underground scene, the original all-female lineup blended riot grrrl energy with garage-pop influences, drawing inspiration from post-punk, C86, and bands like Fire Engines. Active until 1999, Lung Leg released a number of EPs and the acclaimed album Maid to Minx. Their sound was marked by raw, melodic hooks and a fiercely independent spirit, playing live alongside acts including Sonic Youth, Fugazi and The Make-Up. The band reformed in 2021 with new lineup featuring Simone Antigone (Hair Band), Hando Morice (Water Machine), and Paul Thomson (Franz Ferdinand) alongside Theo original members Jane Egypt and Annie Spandex. They returned to the stage in 2022 with a sold-out reunion show in Glasgow and were featured in the 2024 documentary Since Yesterday: The Untold Story. That same year, they performed "Maid to Minx" live on BBC Radio 4's Front Row. In 2025, Lung Leg announced new music for the first time in decades—a split 7" single released by Glasgow label Second City Static, in collaboration with Unmarry Me (featuring former Huggy Bear members). The track "Girls" features guest saxophone by Lora Logic (X-Ray Spex, Essential Logic), with sleeve artwork by Annabel “Aggie” Wright (The Pastels). Jamie Hernandez of Love and Rockets drew the artwork for their debut album.
