Mános Loïzos was a Cypriot (of Greek origin) composer, lyricist and singer. Born 22 October 1937 in Alexandria, Egypt - Died 17 September 1982 in Moscow, USSR. He was a founding member and vice-president of the "Σύλλογος Φίλων Ελληνικής Μουσικής" (= Association of Friends of Greek Music) from its founding in April 1962 until its dissolution in 1967. His December 1968 album, [m=484078], was the first to be released by the -then- newly established label , bearing the cat# MSM 101. In 1971, he became a founding member of , becoming its president in 1978. In March 1965, he married his first wife, , who gave birth to their daughter in 1966. In 1971, he got acquainted with his future wife whom he married in 1978. 's & 's adopted son, , was named after him.
