Canadian punk band founded in Portage la Prairie (near Winnipeg), Manitoba, in 1989. One of the first bands to sign to Fat Wreck Chords. Singer / songwriter / bassist John K. Samson left the group in 1997 to pursue other interests and eventually start another band, . Founding members Chris Hannah and Jord Samolesky continued to work on Propagandhi as well as starting their own label, G7 Welcoming Committee.
