English/American/German avant-pop group founded in 1972 in Hamburg by Anthony Moore. The band split up in 1975 after an initial merger with . In 1982 the trio reunited briefly to record the [r=1601997] single and performed live once. They collaborated again in 1991 on a specially commissioned television opera "Camera", produced for Channel 4, based on an original idea by Krause, with words by Blegvad and music by Moore. The band released [m=37666] in 1997 and toured Japan in 2000. Krause, Moore and Blegvad then reformed Slapp Happy again in November 2016 to perform several shows until their final appearance in November 2017 in Brussels, Belgium.
