The Versatiles were formed in 1967 by Byles, Earl and Davis and had their debut with "Just Can't Win" released on [r10847701]. They entered the Jamaican Song Festival in 1968 with "The Time Has Come" but did not win. However the group gained great success in Jamaica and UK, featuring both sides on three records on and where the label was launched with "Children Get Ready" and "Someone To Love."
