Upon releasing her debut album "[m=100995]" in 1994, Aaliyah gained a steadily growing reputation for helping to redefine contemporary R&B, pop and hip hop, earning her the nicknames the "Princess of R&B" and "Queen of Urban pop". A sophomore album "[m=101004]" was released in 1996, and her final album, "[m=35220]", appeared earlier in the year of her tragic death.
