The Limiñanas is a French outfit playing garage rock, psychedelic and pop music. Based in Cabestany, near Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), The Limiñanas is marry and wife Lionel (guitar) & Marie Limiñana (drums). A couple both on and off stage, Marie and Lionel Limiñana met in high school, but they only formed The Limiñanas in 2008. When members of Migas Valdes and El Vicio, the bands they played in, went on tour in America supporting the then-local stars, Sonic Chicken 4. Marie took up the drums, Lionel the guitar, and played the other instruments. They posted two tracks on MySpace, were quickly noticed by two Chicago labels, HoZac Records and Trouble In Mind, and ended up featured in the credits of the TV series Gossip Girl.
