Born April 10, 1935 in Poznań, died March 7, 2018 in Katowice. Polish jazz vibraphonist, pianist, composer, arranger and painter. Studied at the Hochschule für Musik, then in East Berlin. At the International Jazz Festival in Sopot () in 1956 with , by which time he had switched to vibes, later in the decade worked in a quintet with . With the orchestra of in Belgium from 1965 and in Katowice established the Orkiestra Rozrywkowa (Light Orchestra) of the Polish national broadcaster. Also wrote ballet music in a jazz vein.
